Every Breath You Take is a Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the Every Breath You Take Side Quest.

Area: Watson (Kabuki)
Quest Giver: Blue Moon
Requirement: Complete Side Job "I Don't Wanna Hear It" with a positive outcome (don't threaten the girls), then Blue Moon will call you sometime after you complete Side Job "Off the Leash"
Reward: €$4950 / 570 XP / Street Cred XP
Mission Info: Blue Moon has a problem. One that a publicist, an agent, or even an entourage can't solve. That's 'cause this is a problem with some actual meat on it, one that calls for somebody with a half-decent brain on their shoulders and some hot iron in their holster. Someone really loves her – or loves to hate her. You gotta find this guy and take him out. For most, an opportunity to help a big-time pop icon like her only happens once in a… well, you get it.

Objectives:

  • Go to the meeting spot and wait for Blue Moon
  • Make sure the stalker isn't lurking on any level of Kabuki Roundabout [Optional]
  • Find the stalker and don't let Blue Moon get hurt
  • Find evidence you got the right person
  • Talk to Blue Moon

Starting Location: Every Breath You Take

Go to the meeting spot and wait for Blue Moon

When ready to proceed go to the marked location, and interact with the bench to wait for Blue Moon.

Find the stalker and don't let Blue Moon get hurt

Blue Moon explains the plan to you, then starts walking and calls you when she is ready for you to start following. Your objective is to follow Blue Moon through the area and determine who the stalker is before they can hurt her. There are a few potential ways you can fail this objective:

  • If you get too close to Blue Moon too many times she'll call it off, then die to the stalker.
  • If you leave the area the Job instantly fails.
  • If you kill the wrong person then tell Blue Moon it was the correct one the Job will be marked as completed, but you won't get the monetary reward after because Blue Moon ended up dying after.

If you want you can try to figure this out on your own, or just wait to spot this girl who stops Blue Moon to take a picture with her midway through walking around the lower roundabout area.

She is who the stalker is (and if you're sharp you can spot her immediately to the left of the stairs you first walk down). A tell that she's the stalker is that she shows quickhack options when you scan her, when normal civilians don't. After spotting her you can follow her around and wait until she walks along the bridge towards Blue Moon near the end, or just take her out whenever or just shoot her. There isn't a reward difference whether you kill the stalker or take her out non-lethal, you just have the option to have her arrested if you don't kill her.

Find evidence you got the right person

Search the stalker after you have taken them down to find the evidence of her being the correct person.

Talk to Blue Moon

If you've got the correct person Blue Moon comes to check, and V confirms the items you picked up off the stalker. You will now complete this Side Job, and Blue Moon will send you your monetary world over message after around 24 in-game hours.
