what do i need to do to send a figure from daz to hexagon
Wirefrom brandish
Hi,
I am trying to pattern a hat. Here is what I have washed...
i. In Dax studio, I created a Genesis 8 effigy (Just the figure, nothing else)..
2. I saved the figure and expored the effigy to hexagon using "Ship to Hexagon".
3. Hexagon opens the Studio created figure as a wireframe.
4. I started create the hat by outset making a cylinder which would be the base of the hat. I intend to utilize the effigy to get the diverse dimensions correct. When done, I intend to delete the figure.
five. The problem is the wirefrome for figures face is also complicated to exist useful as a full general guide.
Is in that location whatever manner to display the figure as it would appear in Studio. At the very least, display the figure in other than wireframe.
Another problem I have is that I would like the figure displayed only when I select the figure, the hat to be disappears and vice versa.

What is the all-time manner to import G3F into Hexagon?
What is the best way to import G3F (or other genesis effigy) into Hexagon? I want to make an outfit for G3F.
Installing Hexagon through DIM
How do you install Hexagon and the beta and get them to go where you lot want them. I have a path listed under Applicaitons in DIM that points to where I want them to become...on my D bulldoze. Simply when I install them, they keep going to my C drive and it creates new paths under the Application tab where it decided to put them. And so I end upwardly with iv paths for Hexagon on the Application tab,.Or should the paths be listed under the installation tab? Right now the just paths on that tab take to exercise with DIM itself.
I idea it might be nice to have a thread
When y'all take an border or a group of edges selected, if you hold down the CTRL key, you automatically go into "Fast Extrude" way. I
Serial Number?
I've merely downloaded Hexgon 2 (I'm assuming for free) and it's asking for the serial number. Does that mean information technology wasn't actually gratis and I need to pay for the serial number?
Help - How practise I utilize the smoothing castor for a morph across the span from Studio?
I modeled simple skirt and blouse for G8F. Skirt concluded up fine. Having problem with the Blouse.
The blouse and skirt were modled to fit a custom morph and then the opposite to shape was used with the transfer utility. This acquired some undesirable results around the breasts. I am trying to make a correction morph. I loaded the figure (blouse)in Daz Studio along with G8F, and then selected the blouse and sent information technology across the bridge to Hexagon. Yet, I tin't seem to go the smoothing castor to work. I try, just zilch happens.
Any basic help for using the smoothing castor?
ps - the offending faces are non trianles, even though they look like it. that is what I am trying in part to shine out.
Bulletin in a canteen - putting stuff within a glass prop say
I call up I am beginning to recollect similar a 3D modeller. I imagined how I might "coil up a sheet of paper" in Hexagon in my head (eg. sweep a curved line) and when I really did it on the calculator, it worked!
So is there whatever trick to putting big stuff (like Faveral'southward pirate send) into a small prop like the glass bottle in the garbage pile? I had a real difficult time positioning these items. After successfully chamfering the canteen (yay!) in Hexagon I sent it to DAZ Studio... I so rendered the two main items separately and and then sort of tried to put them together using transpapent layers in an prototype editor. Not bad for a first try simply, putting a large model inside a pocket-sized model seems problematic.
One matter that caught me off-guard: information technology is possible to chamfer a surface but the consequence is "and so small" that y'all cannot encounter what has transpired unless yous happen to zoom in on it.
Also I have now chamfered one object successfully (yay!) but I take so many renders on file where the main prop is all pointy and needs smoothing. Example the wheels (landing gear) on Polish's private jet prop. If I'm not mistaken it's a huge model so I can't exactly import into Hexagon....
Hex Begginer - Unable to Save Files
Hi everybody. I am new to Hexagon, so far it'south great.
1 huge issue I have, is when I am trying to save or export any model - even just a unproblematic cube, it says: save failed
I am attaching a screenshot of the note I become when I am trying to save.
Tried to save in different folders and it didn't work equally well.
Anybody has whatever idea what I can practise?
Is information technology possible to easily Mirror a Morph?
Ok Here is the scenario. Say I accept Created a Morph for Genesis or(G2)or (G3) on the left side of the torso (say a goose egg lump on the left forehead).
Is there an easy way to copy or transfer a mirror of that crash-land to the correct side to import back to DAZ studio to create the right side morph? When I try to use the mirror like office in Hexagon information technology completely reverses the whole mesh+>> doesn't work to create a morph.
Hexagon is not octagon!
Howdy Richard! Now I moved on this forum to about Hexagon. Why? Simple, cause I try to install Hexagon since 1972 (lol) but the "geometric effigy made past six faces" (way to say) don't want to install!!!
Anytime after install announced the message I posted and stuck Hexagon until I use the task manager to force quit! Hexagon is ii.5.2.109.
My pc run any programme in the world, is based on the last Asus mainboard Stix equipped with a i5 Kaby Lake Quad and GeForce GTX1060 6GB SSC and Win 10 release required for the graphic menu. At present, tell me cause a software so elementary fail to run!!! Hexagon is a pentagon! Loool!
Thanks my friend!
Daz is promoting Hexagon/Bug fixes
That's great Daz is promoting Hexagon. But it badly is in need of bug fixes and/or an update. I had stopped using it about three years ago considering it would crash constantly. So I figured I would requite information technology some other chance and I installed the latest version with my Windows 10, 64 Bit, and I take a loftier spec estimator to utilize with it. So loaded information technology up, did something uncomplicated and made some text (the discussion "Howdy") moved the tessellation slider a few notches then...BAM!!!!! It CRASHED! I would actually similar to take this equally a reliable and stable option in my workflow since it is integrated with Daz so well. It would be great if it had an update soon…Cheers

Resetting the view frame and rotation indicate/center to selection?
Hi all,
If I were to start a fresh session, load any standard DAZ genesis figure mesh (arbitrary selection, just everyone can moving picture it in the Hex scene window), and then select a single polygon face up right in the middle of the figure's confront/nose, is there a magic command that I tin can use to set my view right to the face (e.g. from the default of ~10 feet back from the figure to give-or-accept ~4 inches away from the nose), and reset the *view* rotation to be around that selected polygon face? Kind of a 'zoom to selected' *and* reset view rotation kind of feature.
I see and use the 'View Selection (Alt+#.)' icon option at the bottom, but afterwards manually zooming in close to an area, selecting a few points/faces the use of that option throws the view back out to six-8 'feet' from the option area and the center of the object is the view rotation pivot.
Difficult to explain, just I'd actually like to be able to select areas of interest, then reset my view to comprehend the selected elements with some 'headroom' on all sides, and have the view rotation axis be around those selected elements. Ideas/tricks/tips?
Edit to add a 'found fix' for the rotate-effectually-selection: Using the right-click with *both* the alt/ctrl keys pressed does exactly what I was looking for with respect to the view'due south middle of rotation!.
Still looking for a good way to fill up the frame with selected elements just.
cheers and tia,

Hexagon Crash then hxn file is corrupted
Howdy, I have been having the trouble the terminal few days where if Hexagon crashes with a model opened, it corrupts the file and so when I open the .hxn file zilch appears. However, all the data seems to still be in the file as its bitsize looks similar the advisable size.
Is there any way to gear up the corrupted file? Strangely, the last crash even corrupted the "save" file and the "salve as" file I was hoping would exist my rubber file in case annihilation happened.
I like Hexagon, but the frequent crashes and this problem have me really feeling broken-hearted.

Installing Hexagon Beta
I have a Windows ten Home 64 bit machine. Someone told me I need to install both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the beta. Is this truthful? I would presume I should only need the 64 bit but both versions and the Hexagon two.five content are listed in my 64 bit DIM. Thank yous.
How to turn off ambient occlusion?
Clicked on the icon to "toggle brandish of scene with shadows and ambient occlusion", and can't get it to plough off. Now, ALL models I open up, new or erstwhile. Cannot find any style to reset defaults. I'thousand at the betoken of because re-installing the unabridged programme to gear up this.
File>Send to Hexagon (Missing)
Howdy there I started playing with Daz a week ago (now that I finally have a computer that can return), at present I'm experimenting with hexagon and I can't discoverShip To Hexagonunder File while I call back conspicuously having sent a Genesis eight effigy to Hexagon (just to try) a few days agone. I un/installed Daz through DIM but I withal can't find the option.
Ship to Dazin Hexagon work well and the path in Edit>Preferences>Bridges is correct.Send to ZbrushandBryceare nowadays under File.
How can fix this? Maybe uninstall Dim and reinstall everything manually? If I bother to exercise it, willSend To Hexagon option disappear again? Isn't at that place a shortcut?
Ty in advance.
